Happy Birthday Addison!

This Awesome Boy!  We are sooo glad and blessed and grateful that he is in our family!

So maybe the first picture of the morning isn't always the best, but still :) Talk about a tender heart :)  For example, at his parent-watch day at gymnastics, I got a lot of Moms jealous when in the middle of class, Addison jogged over from his beam and said for all to hear, "Mom, I LOVE you!"  And he's so good at that!  It's true what one mom said in response: "You just can't pretend moments like that!"  It's true.  He's such a doll!  You are all so lucky to know him!

His birthday started by opening up the most thoughtful gift of the day.  Carter thought and thought about buying a good gift for Addison, and he surprised us all when he chose to download Addison's favorite songs for his birthday onto Carter's own guitar for Addison to use for a while.  It was so touching, and so thoughtful.  Addison was grateful, and as parents we were teary-eyed!
Later on he invited a few preschool friends over for a lunch date.
Logan, Jared, Addison, Alana, and Ali
And after playing in costumes for a while, we had a blast with the parachute.
And what better way to share a birthday than letting everyone help blow out the candles on the brownies.  What a sweet idea, Addison!  See?  Tender Hearted!
His official Birthday Party started when Daddy got home from work (early, yea!!)  We went as a family to a local Trampoline place where the floors and walls are all trampolines!  FUN!
Consensus shows that the foam pit is fun to jump into but REALLY HARD to climb out of!
The tireless jumpers:
Then it was time to go home where Grandparents were gathering to celebrate with us!  The party started with an exciting game of Uno...
... and guess who won:  Lucky Guy!
Next came cake and ice cream, at his request:  Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate cake with Chocolate Frosting and sprinkles.  YUM!  This 4-layer chocolate mousse cake with ganache topping was SO richly delicious!
And we closed the night off with special stories by the Grandparents.
We Love this special boy, who has just turned 5.  Happy Birthday, Addison!  I hope we've helped you feel as special as you are, and as special as you make us each feel!
