Breaking the Gingerbread House

Because I needed the cake stand for our upcoming birthday cakes, I convinced the kids it was time to break down the Christmas gingerbread house.
Can you tell one of these kids is not as happy about the decision as the others!  He's our sentimental guy, not as interested in the expected sugar rush as the other two.  It was a tad bit heart breaking, but Addison did get a good laugh when the house just would not fall apart like we expected!  It didn't take long to turn that frown upside down!
Poor Kids!  Really, they load these houses with all their favorite candies just to find out that when it's time to eat them, the candies are rock hard!!!
Talk about a let down!

And for the record, Carter's teeth WERE missing BEFORE biting into this rock hard stuff -- they've been missing since August!  My orthodontist dad and his x-rays assure me that SOME day those two front teeth will in fact grow in!

lol, I have gotten so use to Carter with no front teeth it will be strange when they come in. :) And that is so sweet about Addison not wanting to break the house
