How the Hula Are Ya?

Huge snow storm one day.
An Aloha Luau the next.

Now that's a way to spend a winter weekend.

I danced a hula with the young women...
I swear, we were having more fun than the faces show!!

Steve did the Haka, reliving every desire to be an intimidating warrior...

It scared Alana.  Nuff said.

And our sweet Bishopric danced the Fijian Warrior Dance (he is from Fiji, after all!).

My friend Marianne, who planned the whole thing (wha' what!) did AMAZING dances and poi balls. (She's the hip-shakin' lass in the middle!)
And thankfully, no one was injured by this Poi Ball Master in training...

And as you can imagine, the food was AMAZING!  Authentic food from SEVERAL Polynesian islands including Samoan Pancakes, Coconut Bread, and the most amazing Kalua Pork straight from the Polynesian Cultural Center (minus the whole pig in the ground thing...)
Yes, you wish you were here.
No, we really wish we were THERE, but this was a nice close to home alternative!
