Dinner update...
So, it wasn't a complete flop, but definitely not worth any hurrahs. I ended up making a "lasagna casserole" by combining all the saucy stuff with Penne noodles (which WAY TOO MANY, so we'll be eating pasta until March), and the pie was tasty yet soupy. Oh well. Maybe that's how President Benson likes it.

Or maybe President Benson didn't have the heart to tell his wife he thought the pie was a bit too runny
